The standard we build to

Every site we make is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. That is not a preference or an upgrade — it is the floor, and it is the same on the cheapest drawing as on the most expensive one.

What that means in practice

Real headings in a real order, so a screen reader can move through the page. Every form field has a label attached to it. Everything you can click, you can reach with a keyboard, and you can see where you are when you do. Text meets contrast requirements against its background. Nothing important is carried by colour alone.

Motion

This site animates. If your device is set to reduce motion, the animation does not run — it stops entirely rather than degrading. That setting is respected on every site we build.

Where we know we fall short

The hand-drawn illustrations on this page are decorative and carry a text description, but a technical drawing is not something a description fully replaces. No part of the page depends on being able to see them.

Tell us

If something here does not work for you, email hello@vellumweb.com and say what happened and what you were using. We will fix it and reply. That is a faster route to it being fixed than anything else, and we would rather know.
